Terms of Service
1. Preamble and definitions
These Terms of Service ("ToS") govern the use of the ONE TCG platform, accessible online and designed for managing trading card collections (Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and other games supported in the future). By accessing the service, you unconditionally accept these ToS.
In these terms:
- "Service" or "Platform" refers to ONE TCG, in its entirety, both functional and technical.
- "User" refers to any individual holding an account on the Platform.
- "Content" refers to any data published by a User: collections, decks, trade lists, wishlists, photos, private messages, reviews, tags, comments.
- "Trade" refers to a connection made between two Users for the purpose of a physical card swap. The Service does not handle any monetary transfers.
2. Acceptance and updates
The User acknowledges having read the Terms of Service before creating their account. Creating an account constitutes full and unconditional acceptance. The Terms of Service may be updated for legal, technical, or functional reasons; material changes will be notified by email or via a banner on the Service. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms of Service.
3. Access Conditions
The Service is accessible to persons aged at least 13 years old. Minors under 15 must obtain prior authorization from a person holding parental authority (cf. art. 8 GDPR). By creating an account, you declare that you have the necessary legal capacity or have obtained such authorization.
Access to the Service requires a device connected to the Internet and an up-to-date browser. No compatibility is guaranteed on obsolete or unmaintained browsers.
4. User account
You are responsible for the confidentiality of your password and any activity carried out from your account. Notify us immediately in the event of unauthorized access. The email address associated with the account must be valid; it is used for security notifications and recovery procedures.
Only one account per individual is allowed. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a sanction, inflate a reputation, or bypass quotas constitutes an abuse subject to penalties (see §10).
5. Description of features
The Service offers in particular:
- card collection management (adding, removing, photos, indicative prices);
- deck building and analysis (format rule validation, import/export, comparison, versioning);
- a social layer (public profiles, asymmetric follows, badges);
- connecting users for card trades (see §8);
- AI analysis of a deck (see §9) — an optional feature, triggered at the User's explicit request.
The Service is provided "as is" and may evolve (addition, modification or removal of features) without prior notice when such changes are non-substantial adjustments.
6. Plans, quotas and subscriptions
The Service offers a free plan (Free) and two paid subscriptions: the Premium subscription for individuals (€4.99 incl. tax per month), which raises the quotas and unlocks advanced features, and the Pro Seller subscription (€14.99 incl. tax per month), intended for Users offering cards for sale (storefront, inventory management, event visibility). Each plan has distinct quotas (number of collections, decks, and monthly AI analyses where that feature is available). The current pricing conditions and payment terms are indicated on the subscription pages; they may change for new subscriptions, with active subscriptions retaining their conditions until their next renewal (any substantial change being notified in advance).
The AI analysis quota is applied atomically server-side (it cannot be bypassed via multiple tabs). An exceeded quota results in an explicit error message and an invitation to wait or upgrade.
The Premium subscription may be offered with a 14-day free trial, reserved for new subscribers who have never subscribed to Premium. At the end of the trial, the subscription is billed automatically at the current rate and renews at each due date, unless cancelled from the Stripe portal before the trial ends. No new trial is granted after a first cancellation.
7. Published content and obligations
You are solely responsible for the content you publish. You warrant that you hold the necessary rights over any images you upload (personal photos or images whose use is permitted). The Service reserves the right to remove any non-compliant content.
The following are prohibited, without limitation:
- unlawful content, hate speech, harassment, threats;
- sexual or pornographic content;
- third-party personal data shared without consent;
- fraudulent activity (fake trades, counterfeits advertised as genuine, phishing);
- content aimed at circumventing technical protections (mass scraping, reverse engineering).
By publishing Content on your profile page or with public visibility, you grant the Service a non-exclusive, revocable licence to store, display and reproduce it as necessary to show it to other Users. This licence ends upon deletion of the Content or the account.
8. Trades between users
ONE TCG is exclusively a matchmaking tool. The Service does not handle delivery, payments, disputes, or refunds related to card trades. No monetary transactions are processed by the Service.
Strong recommendation: favour in-person trades (meetups, events, shops). You can inspect cards before the trade, reduce the risk of loss or fraud, and you don't need to share any address.
If you nonetheless choose to send cards by post, you bear sole responsibility for this (choice of carrier, tracking, insurance, packaging). ONE TCG does not store postal addresses, proof of postage, or tracking numbers.
In the event of a dispute with another user (cards not received, cards not as described, counterpart not fulfilled), resolution is handled directly between the parties involved. ONE TCG does not arbitrate and issues no refunds. You can report abusive behaviour, and we may sanction the offending account (see §10), but this does not constitute a guarantee of recovering cards or funds.
Verify the identity and reliability of the other party before any trade — public reputation (reviews, "trusted trader" badge) is an indicator, not a guarantee.
9. Pro sellers and listings
Certain Users with a Pro subscription may have a public profile listing cards offered for sale with an indicative price (hereinafter the "Seller"). ONE TCG is not a sales platform and is not the seller: the Platform is limited to matchmaking and never becomes a party to the transaction.
ONE TCG processes no payments in connection with sales between a Seller and a buyer, and does not handle delivery, disputes, warranties, refunds, or after-sales service. Prices, the stated condition of cards, authenticity, availability and delivery terms are set and assumed under the Seller's sole responsibility. The Pro subscription pays for access to tools (storefront, inventory management, event visibility) and not for a payment intermediation or transaction guarantee service.
The Seller is solely responsible for complying with their legal and tax obligations (including, where applicable, registration, VAT, consumer law and the right of withdrawal applicable to their activity). In the event of a dispute with a Seller, resolution is handled directly between the parties involved; ONE TCG does not arbitrate and issues no refunds. As with trades (see §8), inspect cards before any payment and favour in-person handover. A Seller's public reputation (reviews, badges, SIRET verification) is an indicator, not a guarantee.
Nature of cards listed for sale — second-hand physical cards between private individuals. The Seller declares and warrants that the cards they offer are original physical copies, legally acquired (initial purchase from an official channel, gift, or subsequent trade/purchase between private individuals) and resold individually. The resale falls within the framework of second-hand sales between private individuals, based on the exhaustion of the rights holder's distribution rights following the first placing on the market of a physical copy with their consent (art. L. 122-3-1 CPI; Directive 2001/29/EC art. 4(2)). The Seller undertakes to present their cards as such, both in their public listing and in their exchanges with buyers, and not to present themselves or imply that they are acting as a publisher, licensee, official distributor or rights holder of the brands or TCGs concerned.
The Seller is prohibited from offering for sale, and more broadly from manufacturing, reproducing, importing or distributing, any counterfeit card or any unauthorised reproduction — partial or total — of protected elements (rules text, illustrations, logos, trademarks) outside the strict framework of reselling the original physical medium. Any identified infringement will result in the immediate removal of the listing, suspension of the account (see §11), and may be reported to the rights holders or competent authorities.
The Seller (and more broadly any User) shall not circumvent the Platform to evade its tools, safety measures or remuneration (Pro subscription, quotas, moderation, matchmaking). In particular, it is prohibited to: divert a User to an external channel in order to avoid OneTCG's tools or fees; mass-solicit off-Platform to capture customers acquired via OneTCG; insert contact details into public content (sale notes, shop name, bio) so as to bypass the intended matchmaking. Only the links and contact details shown on the dedicated public profile page are allowed (website, authorized networks). By contrast, settling payment and handing over cards outside the app — including in-person payment (cash, mobile payment, etc.) after matchmaking on OneTCG — is the intended transaction model and does not constitute circumvention. Failure to comply exposes the User to graduated and proportionate sanctions, applied according to severity and recurrence: (1) automatic warning once a signal threshold is reached; (2) moderation review; (3) temporary suspension of seller visibility (profile, inventory, event registrations and search-match matchmaking hidden); (4) termination of the seller account in case of recurrence. OneTCG may adapt or combine these measures when the facts so warrant, and the Seller may request a review under the internal appeal procedure described on the DSA Transparency page.
Reminder — OneTCG is a matchmaking service and does not handle payments between buyers and sellers. The Platform connects Users around cards; it does not collect, process or secure any transaction payment, and no card sale takes place within the application. Payment, handover of the cards and their inspection happen directly between the parties, outside the application — preferably in person at an event or in a public place. This private settlement after matchmaking is allowed and expected; the anti-circumvention rule (§9 p6) targets only evasion of the Platform's tools, safety and remuneration, not the fact of paying or exchanging outside the app.
10. AI deck analysis
Configurable availability. AI features may be temporarily disabled by configuration, budget or maintenance. When they are available, no analysis is launched automatically: the User must explicitly trigger a deck analysis or photo recognition for a card.
Deck analysis combines internal heuristics, search embeddings when RAG is available, and a large language model (LLM) provided by Anthropic, Inc. (United States). It sends Anthropic the deck card list and associated metadata (format, TCG), and may send Voyage AI the text required for embeddings. Photo recognition ("scan"), when requested, sends the normalized card image to Anthropic (Claude Vision) to extract its name. No personally identifying data is intentionally attached; the image is not retained by ONE TCG after processing.
Recommendations from the AI analysis are indicative and do not constitute professional gameplay advice or a guarantee of competitive performance. The User retains full responsibility for their deck-building choices.
The technical details of the processing (sub-processors, legal basis, transfers outside the EU) are described in the privacy policy.
11. Moderation and sanctions
In the event of a breach of these Terms or misuse of the Service, we may, depending on the severity:
- remove non-compliant Content;
- hide the public visibility of a profile or post;
- temporarily suspend the account;
- permanently delete the account without notice in the event of a serious or repeated breach;
- report to the competent authorities when required by law.
You can report Content or a User via the "Report" buttons on the Platform, or block a User to stop all interaction (blocks are applied at the database level, and prevent messages, friend requests and trade offers).
Any decision to remove, hide, refuse or suspend must state an understandable reason whenever the user concerned can be identified. You can request a review from /profile/moderation, by replying to the notification you received, or through the contact point listed on the DSA Transparency page.
In accordance with Articles 11 and 12 of the Digital Services Act, ONE TCG provides a single point of contact for authorities (Art. 11) and a point of contact for users (Art. 12), reachable electronically at support@onetcg.app. Communications are accepted and handled in French and English. Details are on the DSA Transparency page.
12. Personal data
The processing of your data is described in detail in the privacy policy. You can export your data or request deletion of your account from your profile.
13. Intellectual Property
ONE TCG is an independent, unofficial tool and is neither published, sponsored, nor affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak, The Pokémon Company International, Wizards of the Coast, Konami, Bandai, or any other card game publisher. Trademarks, logos, illustrations, card names, set names, rules text, and any other works related to supported games (Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Star Wars: Unlimited, and others) remain the exclusive property of their respective owners.
The use of this metadata on the Platform is strictly limited to organizing personal collections, building decks, and connecting Users with one another. No card artwork or text is used for commercial purposes specific to ONE TCG. Paid subscriptions (see §6) cover access to software features (dashboards, seller storefront, increased quotas) and not access to content protected by third-party copyright.
Card data (names, texts, sets, legalities, indicative prices, images) is obtained from third-party databases, subject to each source's terms of use. The main sources are:
- Scryfall (Magic: The Gathering) — open community database;
- Pokémon TCG API (pokemontcg.io) — unofficial public API for the Pokémon TCG (EN catalog);
- TCGdex (tcgdex.dev) — multilingual community database for the Pokémon TCG (FR catalog);
- YGOPRODeck (Yu-Gi-Oh!) — open community database;
- apitcg.com (One Piece Card Game — EN catalog);
- buhbbl/punk-records (One Piece Card Game — FR catalog, dataset under AGPL-3.0).
Full details of sources, licenses, and links to their terms of use are available on the Sources & Attributions page. You agree to comply with the terms of use of these sources when exporting or reusing data through the export features provided by the Platform.
Takedown procedure for rights holders. Any rights holder (or their duly authorized representative) who believes that content accessible on the Platform infringes their intellectual property rights may send us a takedown request at dmca@onetcg.app. The request must clearly identify the rights holder, the content in question (URL or identifier), the legal basis invoked, and include a good-faith statement. Any valid and sufficiently detailed request will result in the removal of the relevant content within a maximum of seven (7) business days, without prejudice to any subsequent counter-notice procedure by the User who published the content, where applicable.
14. Liability
The Service is provided without any guarantee of continuous availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, or technical incidents. We implement regular backups but do not guarantee the complete absence of data loss; it is recommended that you periodically export your collections and decks using the export features.
We are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the Service, including: loss of physical cards resulting from a trade between Users, missed competitive winnings, disputes between Users, or temporary unavailability of the Service.
15. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your profile. Deletion results in the erasure of personal data within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations (see privacy policy §7). Paid subscriptions can be cancelled directly, in a few clicks, from the account area.
Active paid subscriptions are not refunded on a pro-rata basis in the event of voluntary early termination, unless otherwise required by mandatory provisions of applicable consumer law.
Right of withdrawal (consumers). In accordance with Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, consumer Users have a period of fourteen (14) days from subscribing to a distance contract to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to give reasons. By requesting immediate access to the digital service at the time of subscription, the User expressly consents to its immediate performance and acknowledges losing the right of withdrawal as that performance progresses, in accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code. The right of withdrawal can be exercised directly online via the Withdrawal page, which issues a timestamped acknowledgement of receipt.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts, following an attempt at amicable resolution. In accordance with Article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, consumer Users may refer unresolved disputes free of charge to a mediation service.
